Always wash your knives by hand. Never put them in the dishwasher. Don't let them soak. Dry quickly after washing. Keeping them clean and dry prevents rust and unnecessary build up on your knives.
Cutting Boards
Use the right cutting board! It is best to use wood or plastic boards. These are much easier on your knives than boards made of harder materials.
